Cax - Improved components

Throughout the past few weeks, I have gradually been adding and improving many of the game mechanics to Cax. Such features include new animated sprites, hit detection, health system, an end screen, a main menu, a few stock sound effects ripped from Freesound.org, and more.

The game is runs at a 1080p (1920x1080) resolution, and works fine for smaller ones too. You can check out the updated game footage in the embedded video below.

(Watch in 720p or 1080p for 60fps.)

I created the remaining animation sprites for Cax (the player character) by including an animation where he's throwing his boomerang, and one when he's hit by an enemy or enemy weapon.

Speaking of boomerangs, that is another element I have fixed up for the game. Each one now has a proper sprite, and it rotates rather than "animates" the rotate. As of now, the red one has a longer throw distance. I may consider making the green one throw three times at once, thought it's still a consideration.

Pickup items such as health, coins, and weapon power-ups were also created for the game. As of now, only the heart sprite is animated, but I intend to do the same for the rest.

Finally I created a proper enemy sprite. I wanted to make these as minions of the villain and make them resemble a rabbit, but their dark and mysterious appearance are defiantly suited for a game like this. Still yet to animated the sprite or get it to fire projectiles though.
