The Winter's Tale - Pre-alpha

Now that development can get underway, I began coding the various gameplay components such as player movement, enemy movement, game over, water trigger when submerged, a camera that rotates 90 degrees when reaching a certain trigger, and navigable main/pause menus. At this stage, the game is in pre-alpha stage.

Below was my first attempt (v0.01) in which I experimented with fog, atmosphere, and running speeds. The assets were unfortunately lost when the location I was storing it got corrupted. From now all, all game work will be backed up into other storage devices to prevent another incident like this.

Pre-alpha v0.01.

Watch in 720p or 1080p to view in 60fps.

Luckily there wasn't much in the game, and I was able to re-code everything within just a few hours. This new version (0.02) uses reflective water via Unity's assets package, 3D tree models created by Zach, a game over screen, a pause menu, and code that makes the character rotate depending on the facing direction.

Pre-alpha v0.02.

Watch in 720p or 1080p to view in 60fps.

Additionally, Janet has been constructing Antigonus' character model in Maya based on her concept art.Hopefully soon it'll be all textured, rigged, and animated to be placed into the game, We're still awaiting the bear model, and the cut-scene images at this point.
